The annual Polar Plunge benefits Special Olympics New York and residents can join other bathers on Saturday, March 23rd at TOBAY Beach.

"Though TOBAY Beach is typically synonymous with summer fun, this event gives us a fantastic reason to enjoy its shores earlier in the year," said Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "Participants can showcase their bravery and compassion by dipping into the brisk waters of TOBAY Beach, all in support of the remarkable athletes of Special Olympics New York."

The festivities kick off at 9am with a winter festival and registration, followed by the plunge itself at 11:00 a.m. A suggested donation of $25 per participant is encouraged, and those who raise $150 or more will receive a special Polar Plunge sweatshirt.

Every dollar raised during the Polar Plunge contributes to the provision of year-round sports training, competitions, and inclusive programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community.
