Kennedy Continues Chamber Of Commerce Business Tour Promoting And Supporting Local Business Communities

Hauppauge, NY - February 3, 2014 - Legislator John M. Kennedy Jr., Chairman of the Suffolk County Legislature Republican Caucus kicked off the New Year right, bringing smart government and business friendly initiatives to local business leaders at several Chamber of Commerce meetings throughout the 12th Legislative District this January. 
 
Legislator Kennedy gave the keynote address before the Hauppauge Industrial Association (“HIA”), where he discussed a collaborative effort between HIA members and Suffolk Community College, whereby HIA members will train students for direct placement within member organizations. Suffolk Community College has also committed itself to educating returning veterans while Legislator Kennedy urged HIA members to consider hiring veterans as they are highly trained professionals who have proven their skills in service to our nation. 
 
In addition to meeting at the HIA, Legislator Kennedy made stops speaking at the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce, Smithtown Chamber of Commerce, Middle Country Chamber of Commerce and the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce, and the Ronkonkoma Chamber of Commerce. 
 
“It has been and continues to be my pleasure to work with the HIA and the various Chambers of Commerce and I look forward to continuing to work with local businesses, to help my constituents. Government always has to work hand in hand with business to accomplish the goals of a community and so it is no different in Suffolk County,” said Legislator Kennedy.
