NCPD Crime Alert: Elmont Home Burglarized

Elmont, NY - February 4th, 2015 - Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an occupied Burglary that occurred on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 2:55 pm in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, after exiting the front door of his Froehlich Place home, the 26 year old male victim was immediately confronted by 2 male black subjects on the front stoop, one of whom was armed with a silver handgun. The victim grabbed the gun and a struggle ensued during which time he was able to remove a mask the subject was wearing. The victim then fled the home and ran to Elmont High School for help.
 
Both subjects entered the house and one subject ordered a second victim, who remained inside the home, to a back room. The second subject then went upstairs and ransacked a bedroom; the proceeds of which are undetermined at this time. Both subjects then fled the residence and ran in an unknown direction.
 
The victims, neither of whom was injured, described the subjects as follows:
  •  Subject 1 - 5’5” tall with a stocky build and braided hair. He was wearing dark clothing with a mask covering his mouth and nose and was armed with a silver handgun.
  • Subject 2 – 5’7” tall, 165 lbs. with light skin. He was wearing gray sweatpants.
