NCPD Reports Two Robberies in Roosevelt

Two robberies occurred in Roosevelt on February 3rd.

Roosevely, NY - Feburary 3, 2014 - The First Squad reports a Robbery that occurred on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 8:38 p.m. in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, a male victim 34 years of age, was walking east on Lakewood Avenue when he was approached by two male black subjects, one approximately 6’ tall the second 5’6” tall. The subjects pushed the victim to the ground and kicked him. The subjects removed an unknown amount of U.S. currency and the victim’s cell phone before fleeing on foot northbound on Rose Avenue. There were no injuries reported.

The First Squad  also reports the details of a Robbery that occurred on Monday February 3, 2014 at 10:58 p.m. in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, two unknown male subjects wearing masks entered the USA Foodmart Gas Station located at 284 W. Centennial Avenue. One subject threw a male victim/clerk age 42 to the floor and removed his cell phone and unknown amount of U.S. currency from his pants pocket. The second subject, who was armed with a black handgun, went around the counter and demanded the second male victim/clerk, age 21, to open the register and remove the cash. The subject took the cash from the victim along with his cell phone. Both subjects fled on foot northbound on N. Brookside Avenue with the proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
