Discover Long Island, the region’s only accredited destination marketing organization, added two new board members at its first quarter Board of Directors Meeting. Mike Santeramo, Director of External Affairs with Oak View Group and Savita Arora, VP of Strategy and Operations for Amity Education Group, were unanimously voted to fill two vacancies for three-year terms. The Discover Long Island Board of Directors is comprised of local tourism, hospitality, and business leaders, with a range of expertise in hotel and resort operations, real estate development, government, cultural institutions, attractions, transportation and more.

- Mike Santeramo of Stony Brook, NY: Director of External Affairs at Oak View Group - The largest developer of sports and live entertainment venues in the world, including UBS Arena. Prior to his work with Oak View Group, Santeramo worked as a Deputy County Executive for Nassau County under former County Executive Laura Curran.

Arora has served as the Vice President of Strategy and Operations since 2015.
