Bring the kids to Sweetbriar Nature Center on April 9 as the Smithtown nature preserve and wildlife rehabilitation center turns into an enchanted forest filled with springtime fun. There will be egg hunts throughout the day with prizes, as well as a separate egg hunt for 2-4 year-olds to do with their parents. Enjoy live animal presentations, crafts, games, face painting, entertainment, and more. A special long-eared guest will be making an appearance, ready to pose for pics. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Egg hunt times are every half hour starting at 11:30 a.m. through 3:30. Don your Easter bonnet and join in the Port Jefferson Easter Parade and Egg Hunt sponsored by the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce. Parade starts at noon in front of Theatre Three on Main Street and finishes at the Port Jefferson Village Center down at the Harbor. There will be an egg hunt for kids ages 2 to 8 at the Great Lawn at Harbourfront & Children’s Park at about 12:15 pm. All children will receive a prize.
