The Long Island Game Farm is one of the Long Island's most notable zoos. Their collection of hundreds of animals consists of both exotic and breeds of animal indigenous to the area including an 18-foot giraffe, red kangaroos, cougars, peacocks, the only Long Island born and bred lemurs, as well as buffalo, zebra, and alligators. With too many to list you'll have to check them out for yourself! Nature trails on the Game Farm lead to themed areas where visitors can interact with animals through feeding and petting. Something not available at most zoos. "Please touch" is even their motto. Carnival rides are also a grand attraction on the premises and though they do not host birthday parties LIGF does offer coupons in order to help you celebrate that special occassion.
