September is here and you can bet there are festivities all around. Check out all the local Long Island community festivals going on, from the East Northport Annual Festival, the Ronkonkoma Chamber Summer BBQ, the Grande Festa Italiana, the Great East End Community Picnic, Fiddle and Fork Festival, and more!  There are also several events featuring music of The Grateful Dead, a unique and colorful run at Eisenhower Park and a comedy showcase with Bobby Collins. FRIDAY – SEPTEMBER 5, 2014
Who: Dead On Live At The Suffolk Theater
Info: Dead On Live is a note-for-note recreation of the Grateful Dead’s two most iconic albums “Working Man’s Dead” and “American Beauty.”
Cost: $25

Who: East Northport Annual Festival
Info:  This festival continues to run through September 7th. Enjoy a fun-filled activities for everybody, including exhibits, craft vendors, delicious food, shows, games, live entertainment and more! Princess Elsa will also make an appearance for kids between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Who: Ronkonkoma Chamber Summer BBQ
Info: Come out to enjoy great BBQ food, refreshments, entertainment and games.

SATURDAY – SEPTEMBER 6, 2014
Who: Grande Festa Italiana at North Hempstead Beach Park
Info:  This event continues to run through September 7th. Come out to enjoy the 35th Grande Festa Italiana, a feast overlooking picturesque Long Island Sound. There’s games rides, a pasta making demonstration, Italian and other ethnic food, and music performances!  On Sunday night, there’s also a fireworks display. Ample parking is also available.

Who: The Color Vibe 5K At Eisenhower Park
Info: Get blasted with colored cornstarch as you run the Color Vibe 5K. The course will run at Eisenhower Park. Kids may also participate. A portion of proceeds are donated to local charity near you. Sign-up online to save.
Cost: $40 to $50 for Team Runner, $55 for Individual Runner, Free for Kids 1-12

Who: Bobby Collins Comedy Showcase At Patchogue Theatre For The Performing Arts
Info: Meet the funniest guy in the room as Bobby Collins performs live! Collins has made millions laugh with more than 200 annual stand-up performances around the country.
Cost: $34 to $47

SUNDAY – SEPTEMBER 7, 2014
Who: 10th Annual Great East End Community Picnic At Red Creek Park
Info: Come down to enjoy music, games, dancing, crafts, sports, free hot dogs, ice cream and beverages!

Cost: Free Event
Time & Place: 1PM to 5PM at Red Creek Park, 102 Old Riverhead Road, Hampton Bays

Who: Fiddle And Fork Festival At Benner’s Farm
Info: Enjoy performances by Spuyten Duyvil, Beaucoup Blue and Miles to Dayton. The event is held at an organic historic working farm complete with a kids area, big swing, farm animals, gardens, produce, fields and woods.
Cost: $15 For Adults, $11 for Childen Under 12

Who: Grateful Fest 3 At The Vanderbilt Museum
Info: Come out to enjoy music of  The Grateful Dead. There’s also live painting and exhibiting by 50 artists! Music will be performed by Half Step, The Electrix, Reckoning and Unbroken Chain. The rain date is September 15.

Cost: $49.50 to $69.50
