I know couch riding is the preferred exercise of the day. But lets face facts, if you sit on your but and do nothing you begin to get the muscle tone of a veal, and you know the only reason veal are raised is to be slaughtered and eaten. (personally I refuse to eat veal for that reason)
But you know you need to move, use your muscles. So what do you do? Join a gym for $500.00, go three times and get so sore you can't even get off the toilet? I think not.
Start slow, and my motto is "Just do something". The easiest thing to start with is a walk, there is nothing more beautiful than a spring or summer early morning walk. Or how about at dusk, just when the stars are begining to come out. If you have a significant other you'll be surprised how nice it is to walk and talk without distractions like the TV.
Need some motivation? How about an after dinner Italian ice at the local pizzeria, NO Ice cream, but the ices are OK.
The bottom line is that you need to move your body, or at some point it will quit on you. As the commercial says "Just do it!
