Rated by Country Living as "one of the top six stunning lavender farms to visit in America," Lavender by the Bay in East Marion is open for the season. You can walk through “magical” fields of the fragrant flowers in bloom and enjoy a natural aromatic experience that is sure to soothe your spirits. 

 

The 17-acre farm is home to over 80,000 English lavender and French lavender plants which flower and peak at different times during the season. Visits to the fields require a ticket. Purchasing in advance online at the Lavender by the Bay website is recommended as walk-in ticket availability is not guaranteed. Each ticket is $14 plus tax for ages 7+ and good for a specific 90-minute time slot. Tickets are also available to visit Lavender by the Bay’s smaller farm located in Calverton.

After embracing the beauty of the fields and taking plenty of photos, visitors can shop for locally-produced lavender products and bring home the lovely scents of this vibrant purple flower.

Lavender by the Bay is located in East Marion at 7540 Main Road, and in Calverton at 47 Manor Road directly across the street from Splish Splash. Summer hours are 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily for the East Marion location (fields close at 5:30 p.m.), and 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Friday - Sunday 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. (fields close at 6:30) for the Calverton fields.
