1-2-3-4…celebrate one of punk rock's most influential bands, The Ramones, at Bellmore Playhouse on Friday, June 24, with a screening of Rock ‘n’ Roll High School and a full evening of Ramones-inspired music and fun. Released in 1979, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School is a musical comedy cult movie classic starring The Ramones that tells the story of Ramones-loving students who take over a high school in retaliation against their principal.

 

This one-night-only event, presented by Nocturnal Creatures NY and The Perks Dept, kicks off with the screening from 7 - 9 p.m., followed by an afterparty upstairs at The Loft. Guests can enjoy performances by The Rawmones (a Ramones tribute band) and the live karaoke band, Rocket to Ronkonkoma, while shopping at punk rock flea market vendors. Stay for the Late Night DJ Dance Party as Dj Treblemakazz, Tony Black (a.k.a. Vito), Tyranny, and others spin alternative, new wave, post punk, garage rock, and dark wave.
