75 Firefighters Respond to Residential Fire in Bellmore

The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Residential Fire that occurred
on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. in Bellmore.
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded to a residence located at 2782 Martin Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers observed smoke and flames coming from the rear of the building.
 
There were residents still inside and officers were able to safely remove them all from the building. A 42-year-old female victim suffering from smoke inhalation was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
The Bellmore Fire Department along with the North Bellmore and Wantagh Fire  Departments responded and extinguished the flames. Approximately 75 firefighters were on scene. The building suffered severe structural damage along with variant degrees of smoke, fire, and water damage. The Nassau County Fire Marshall responded to scene. Arson and Bomb squad responded to scene.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
