Palmer Vineyards on Long Island's North Fork, is setting out to be the most family friendly winery in the region with events that appeal to both children and adults. The Long Island winery kicks off the season with an Easter Egg Hunt at the vineyard on Saturday, April 7 from 11am to 5pm. Everyone will be a winner with prizes worth $5,000. Admission is free.

Kids who find eggs hidden within the winery and the tasting room on Sound Avenue will be rewarded with candies, including chocolate bunnies. Wine related prizes ranging from substantial wine discounts to free wine gift packs and full cases of wine will be awarded to entrants 21 years and older. All entrants are guaranteed to win something and no purchase is necessary to enter.

"Palmer Vineyards prides itself of being family friendly," said owner Robert J. Palmer and events like these allow adults to enjoy our wines responsibly, while their children also can have fun."

As always, Palmer's award-winning wines will be available for sampling for those of legal drinking age.

In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt, visitors to the winery during April weekends will receive a free guided winery tour with the purchase of a Vintner's Flight of wines.

Established in 1986, Palmer Vineyards, the most-awarded winery on Long Island, has been described by New York Times wine writer Howard Goldberg as "Long Island's most important winery." The Palmer Vineyards tasting room on Route 48 in Aquebogue is modeled on an old British pub and its tasting deck, overlooking the vineyards, is spacious.
