St. Patrick’s Day is Friday, March 17 but the holiday festivities have already begun, and will continue throughout the month. Wear green and celebrate Irish heritage and culture at these LI St. Patrick’s Day parades.

9th Annual Farmingdale St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Sunday, March 12 at 1 p.m.

Starts at Northside Elementary, 55 Powell Place in Farmingdale

 

The Farmingdale Village St. Patrick’s Day parade features pipe bands, local community groups, and more. Starts at Northside Elementary School and goes down Main Street to the Village Green where there will be Shamrock photo ops. Grand Marshal is Monsignor Mark P. Rowan of the St. Kilian Parish.

 

Brentwood St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m.

Starts at Clarke and Washington Avenue in Brentwood

 

The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place the Saturday after St. Patrick's Day. See pipes and marching bands, community and school groups, a tractor, and more. 


 

Glen Cove St. Patrick's Day Parade

Sunday, March 19 at 1pm

Starts in the area of the Finley Middle School at Forest Avenue and Dosoris Lane in Glen Cove 

 

Founded in 1989, the Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the premier St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. It takes place each year on the Sunday after St. Patrick’s Day and is a joyous “first sign of spring” for Long Islanders and visitors.  

This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Ryan W. Doherty, a Sergeant with the New York MTA Police. 

There is parking at Glen Cove’s municipal parking garages and elsewhere and shuttle buses will run between the parking areas and the formation area.

 

Patchogue St. Patrick’s Parade & May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 2 Mile Race

Sunday, March 19 at Noon

Parade runs from Route 112 to West Avenue along Main Street in Patchogue

 

Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade runs from Route 112 to West Avenue along Main Street. Prior to the parade will be the annual “May the Road Rise to Meet Ye” 5K. All runners 21+ get a free beer at any of the pubs of Patchogue listed on the back of race T-shirts by showing your race bib.

 

Wantagh 3rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade

Sunday, March 19 at 2 p.m.

Starts at Wantagh High School, 3297 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh

 

The Wantagh Chamber of Commerce presents the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade on Long Island featuring pipe bands, floats, cars, community groups, first responders, and more. Plus, a Block Party on Railroad Avenue following the parade. The 2023 Grand Marshal is Mike Dunphy, Proprietor of the iconic Wantagh Inn. The Parade will start at Wantagh High School and continue south on Wantagh Ave to Brooklyn Ave and conclude at the municipal lots on Park Ave.

 

The Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Day Parade

Saturday, March 25 at Noon

Starts at the Municipal Parking Lot on North Sunrise Hwy in Rockville Centre

 

First stepping off March 22, 1997, the Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Day Parade has over the years has become one of the best-attended and supported parades outside of New York City. The parade annually shares its success with three worthy charities, which are National, Irish, and local focused.

 

61th Annual Montauk St. Patrick's Day Parade

Sunday, March 26 at Noon

Starting Point: Edgemere Road in Montauk

 

The 61st Annual Montauk Friends of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday, March 26. This year’s Grand Marshal is Jimmy Grimes. This year has a record number of floats and pipe bands.
