Suffolk SPCA Offers $1,000 Reward for Information

The SPCA is looking for the person or persons who dumped a puppy in Mattituck.

Mattituck, NY - October 18, 2014 - The Suffolk County SPCA is offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for killing and dumping a puppy in Mattituck.
 
Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that the agency was contacted with a report that someone had dumped the puppy in a plastic bag on a trail at Laurel Lake Preserve.
 
Gross said that further examination revealed that the puppy had been shot several times and still had pellets lodged in its body
 
"This is a blatant act of animal cruelty and we will do everything we can to see that those responsible are apprehended," Gross said.
