Knox School Basketball Star Omar El-Sheikh Signs D1 Contract to Play for Fairfield University Stags

St. James, NY - April 10, 2017 - We invite all news and broadcast media to attend an official NCAA National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing at the Bancroft-Phinney Gymnasium on the campus of The Knox School on Wednesday, April 12, at 12:00 PM. 
 
Omar El-Sheikh (6’8” point-guard) will be signing his official commitment letter to play Basketball for the Division I, Fairfield University Stags. El-Sheikh, from Cairo, Egypt, joined The Knox School’s Prep Basketball Team in December of 2015 and has grown into a standout athlete and student.
 
The Knox School is proud to have been a part of Omar’s journey to success. In his two years at Knox, Omar has been an accomplished student, a productive member of the Knox School community and a consistent, positive personality on campus. We wish him the best of luck as he moves forward in his academic and basketball career. 
 
The signing will take place at the Bancroft-Phinney Gymnasium, The Knox School, 541 Long Beach Road, Saint James, NY 11780.
