The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Small Craft Advisory...which is in effect until 6 am EST Wednesday. The Gale Warning has been cancelled. * Winds and seas...north winds 20 to 30 kt. Occasional gusts up to 35 kt early this morning. Seas 4 to 8 feet across the Long Island Sound. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Small Craft Advisory means that sustained wind speeds or frequent gusts of 25 to 33 kt and/or seas of 5 ft or higher are expected or occurring...and hazardous to small craft. Three Men Wanted for Assault in Huntington Station

The SCPD is seeking the public's help in finding three men who attacked another in Huntington Station.

Huntington Station, NY - February 20, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate three men who slashed a man in Huntington Station in December.
 
A man was approached by three men outside his home on Spencer Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Monday, December 16 2013 and was slashed in the face multiple times. The victim was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of severe facial lacerations. 
 
The suspects were all described as young black males and they may have fled the area in a dark-colored sedan. 
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
