So this weekend I will be alcohol free and loving it (ok not really, but i'm gonna try!). And there is ALOT to do on the Island. For starters there is the one and only, Suffolk County Fair located at the old grumman site in Wading River. Ferris Wheel, Fireworks, and carnival games - you can't go wrong!
Also friday night at the Vanderbilt is a un-signed band showcase of some of the Island's best muic. And the shining example of that showcase would have to be Ucada. These guys are great - music wise and personality wise. Their shows are packed with energy and they are so easy to approach and talk to! Definetly try to catch them! You can get tickets at Ticketmaster and if you want check out the Ucada website for more info (i'll put a link at the bottom of the page!)
Also this weekend, just cause the 4th is technically over, doesn't mean the fireworks are! There will still be some shows locally and I believe there is one saturday night in medford. Ofcourse Longisland.com has all the information you need to find the fireworks nearest you.
And as always there is good ol fun activity I like to call - the beach! Its cheap, its easy - and its fun! Make a day out of it with your friends or family. Just remember to wear sunscreen - skin cancer is not fun!
