Over ten years ago Jeff Gagnon and Doug Bell teamed up to open DJ’s Clam Shack on Duval Street in Key West, which according to their website was “steeped in rich northeast seafood tradition,” the partners realized that they hit on something special by combining northern and southern sea fare together.
Since then, the duo opened another DJ’s Clam Shack on Long island in Wantagh. Now they have a second shack in the area at their newly opened Northport location.
The menu is baked with all your favorites plus a few surprises. They offer a slate of items including homemade New England Clam Chowder ($7), Maine Lobster roll with coleslaw ($18), Kung Pow Calamari ($12), and Garlic Steamed Little Neck Clams with jalapenos ($14.50). Fried favorites include Clam Strips ($11) and Conch Fritters ($11). They also offer tacos with shrimp ($13), Mahi Mahi ($13), chicken ($12) or roast pork ($11).

On Yelp, Steve K. from Huntington said, “...this place is killer.”
“Service is spot on and the folks working the counter and the floor were super attentive and continued to check to see if I needed anything as I enjoyed my lunch,” he wrote.
Sam R. from East Northport also loved it.
