The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 1:17 a.m. in Lake Success.
According to detectives, while attempting to cross in the vicinity of 1100 Marcus Avenue, from the south side to the north side, a male pedestrian was struck by a 2020 Jeep traveling westbound on Marcus Avenue. The male, 67, suffered multiple injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced at 01:55 am by a hospital physician.
The male operator, 43, remained at the scene. The vehicle was brake and safety checked prior to being impounded. The investigation is ongoing.
