Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) joined the Great Neck United Parent-Teacher Council (UPTC) outside the Great Neck Library’s Main Branch on Friday, June 18 for a time capsule celebration. Legislator Birnbaum joined the community in adding her name to pieces of paper that were later included in the capsule prior to burial.

“Time capsules provide a direct link to the experiences and the lessons of the past for those who unearth them,” Legislator Birnbaum said. “With all that has happened in our world during the last year and a half, the contents will tell a valuable story for the future generations. I appreciate the efforts of the Great Neck United Parent-Teacher Council and the Great Neck Library for organizing this historic occasion in our community.”
