The First Squad reports the arrest of an East Meadow man on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 3:14 pm in North Bellmore.
According to Detectives, Officers while on routine patrol observed a 2002 Ford Taurus traveling northbound on Bellmore Road operating with an unauthorized registration. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop.
The driver, defendant Jaden Paftinos, 20, of 679 Hilda Street refused multiple orders from police and became physically resistant, resulting in him being placed under arrest. An officer sustained an injury during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. The injured officer was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Defendant Jadan Paftinos is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and a VTL violation. He will be arraigned on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
