The Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum is a wonderful combination of mansion, marine and natural history museum, planetarium and park. The Spanish Revival Mansion, which overlooks the Long Island Sound, is home to the unique collections of William K. Vanderbilt II and visitors will be taken on a tour through 24 rooms within. Rooms are filled with antique furniture, painting and ceramincs and family photos and portraits. The planetarium is dedicated to educating the public on the wonders of the universe and outer space and offers various laser light shows during summer hours.
