According to real estate broker Matt Eberhardt, the owners of Shrimpy’s Burrito Bar, a California-style restaurant with their own little twist of New York flavor, leased a new location in Northport at 650 Fort Salonga Road (on the corner of Alsace Place), which had been a Dunkin’ Donuts for years.

Shrimpy’s Burrito Bar already has three other locations. The original is in Massapequa Park; their second location in Huntington opened in 2020 and East Islip, their third location, opened in April of this year. They also have a food truck.

The Northport property was recently sold for $1.2 million in January of this year. Eberhardt, who represented both the buyers and sellers of the property in that deal, said that the Shrimpy’s owners signed a 10-year lease on the 1,203-square-foot building and hope to open in the space by February 2024. There is currently parking for 18 cars in the lot.
The menu items at Shrimpy’s reflect the “hang-loose” nature of the owners who all grew up on the South Shore of Long Island.

The menu features their Strong Island Burrito (surf n’ turf) with seasoned rice, sautéed peppers & onions, corn salsa, monterey jack/cheddar cheese, guacamole, sour cream w/ grilled steak & shrimp ($15.99). The Nach-Yo Average Burrito with seasoned rice, crushed tortilla chips, black beans, queso, monterey jack/cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, jalapenos & sour cream w/ choice of Chicken ($12.50), Beef ($12.50), or Shrimp ($14.50). And the Bang Bang Taco, a soft shell taco with marinated steak, jalapeno pico de gallo, shredded monterey jack/cheddar cheese, sliced avocado & our special hot sauce ($6.25).
