COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON ...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING MONDAY... * LOCATIONS...Southwestern Suffolk. * TIMING...From noon today to 4 PM EST this afternoon. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...The combination of elevated water levels and high surf along the ocean beachfront will result in significant beach erosion and localized splashovers around the times of high tide.

Okay people, for those of you who have finally come out of hibernation and couldn't wait for the warm weather to show up, well it's HERE. Time to get the lawn mowers out and the pool uncovered. But most of all, ALL the travel plans ready for the perennial summer vacation. No matter where you are going, vacations or holidays as some people call it, are always a good time for families to do interesting, exciting and different activities together. If you are exploring Long Island, look at the home page of www.longisland.com for some interesting ideas to either visit or do. Long Island is a GREAT place to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Check out the attached links on the bottom of the page for ALL your Long Island transportation and travel needs. I've got links for ALL the ferries on Long Island. From the South Shore... Bay Shore, Sayville, Patchogue. The North Shore... Port Jefferson, Orient Point, and the East End... Greenport, Sag Harbor. There are also links for MTA-Long Island Bus and MTA-Long Island Railroad. For those of you who are going off the Island, I've included a link for auto travel that includes the metropolitan area, and for those of you flying out who are using MacArthur airport, I've got a link for you as well.
