Deer Park, NY - August 22nd, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Identity Theft Section detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person who used another person’s identity to open several lines of credit and make fraudulent charges.

A Suffolk County resident reported to police that someone used his information to apply for credit at several locations in Suffolk County, Nassau County, New York City and upstate New York this month. The suspect applied for credit at Kohl’s in Deer Park on August 8 using the victim’s information.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
