The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 11 am EST this morning. * Visibilities...one quarter mile or less. * Timing...until 11 a.M. * Impacts...hazardous driving conditions due to reduce visibility. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving...slow down...use your low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. 12 , "Special Statement" ...Areas of dense fog tonight... South winds continue to transport unusually mild and moist air north across the area as high pressure moves out to sea. Areas of fog will continue developing and become locally dense, restricting visibilities to 1/4 mile or less mainly from New York City north and east across southern Connecticut and Long Island. This fog is forecast to persist through Saturday morning. Motorists should be alert while driving into rapidly reduced visibilities. Legislator Anker Attends Car Show at Heritage Park

Judges awarded trophies and plaques to top cars.

Mount Sinai, NY - July 22, 2014 - On Sunday, July 20th Mount Sinai Heritage Trust for the organization’s Annual Car Show. The show was open to all cars and trucks and judges awarded trophies to the top cars and dashboard plaques for the first 50 cars. 
 
“Thank you to the Mount Sinai Heritage Trust for allowing bringing the community together for the Annual Car Show,” said Legislator Anker. “I wish the Heritage Trust much continued success with the event and I look forward to participating next year.”
