LIRR Service Alert for September 2

Update at 10:00 AM - The LIRR is averaging delays of 80 minutes system-wide due to an earlier service suspension into & out of Penn Station. Shuttle trains are operating in 15-minute intervals btwn Jamaica & Penn, & in 30-minute intervals for Kew Gardens, Forest Hills, & Woodside stations. Some trains continue to be canceled in Jamaica, or diverted to Atlantic Terminal. Limited Port Wash Br service is also restored in both directions. NYC Transit continues to cross-honor LIRR fares via the E, 7, & 2/3 subways.

Long Island, NY - September 2, 2015 (updated 8:27 AM) - The LIRR is in the process of restoring service into and out of Penn Station. There will be limited shuttle service operating in 15-minute intervals between Jamaica and Penn, and in 30-minute intervals for Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, and Woodside stations. Limited Port Washington Branch service is also restored in both directions at this time.
