    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 cups (add 1/2 can of water) Half & half, milk or condensed milk
      1 large loaf Challah bread
      2 extra large Eggs
      1/2 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract
      1 teaspoon Cinnamon
      1/2 teaspoon Salt

    Directions

    1. 1) In a large shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Slice the challah bread in 3/4-inch thick slices or on the diagonal. Soak each slice in the egg mixture turning once.

      2) Heat 1/2 tablespoon butter and 1/2 tablespoon oil in a very large saute pan over medium heat. Add the soaked bread and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until nicely browned.

      3) Place the cooked French toast on a sheet pan and keep it warm in the oven. Fry the remaining soaked bread slices, adding butter and oil as needed, until it's all cooked.

      4) Serve hot with maple syrup, and/or confectioners' sugar. Top with fresh Berries - Optional
