Man Shot Multiple Times in Hempstead, Drives Self to Hospital, Cops Say

Hempstead, NY - December 31, 2018 - Third Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 5:01 PM in Hempstead.
 
According to detectives, a 30 year old male victim, while sitting in his car at the BP gas station, 415 South Franklin Street in Hempstead, was approached by an unknown male subject on the driver’s side of his car. The unknown subject turned towards the victim and fired a gun into the car multiple times, striking him. The subject then ran on foot southbound on Franklin Ave.
 
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and drove himself to a nearby hospital where he was admitted for treatment involving serious but non-life threatening gunshot wounds. There is no description of the subject at this time.
