Police Arrest Freeport Man After Call About Domestic Disturbance, Father Found Dead with Multiple Stab Wounds

Freeport, NY - December 30, 2015 - Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in Freeport on Tuesday, 12/29/15 at 3:45 P.M.

According to detectives, Freeport police officers responded to a 911 call for a domestic disturbance at 34 Laurette Lane.  Upon arrival, police officers found Russell Johnson, 55, deceased due to multiple stab wounds (weapon undetermined at this time).  Jordan Johnson, 24, the deceased’s son, was involved in a verbal altercation with his father, which turned physical.  Jordan Johnson was placed under arrest at the scene.

Johnson is being charged with Murder 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 12/30/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
