SCPD Crime Alert: Man Wanted for South Setauket Grand Larceny

South Setauket, NY - December 30th, 2013 -  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who stole property from a South Setauket store.

A man entered Home Depot, located at 255 Pond Path, and removed a jack hammer cement tool valued at more than $2,000 from the Tool Rental Department on July 14 at 10:24 a.m. The suspect was described as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall,and 25 to 35 years old. The suspect fled in what appeared to be a late 90s, green Chevrolet SUV.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
