Little Libraries continue to sprout up all over Long Island. A new Little Library, a free book exchange program, was installed at Wyandanch Park. The Little Library was donated by the Suffolk County Chapter of the Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

Little Free Libraries promote book exchange through small public bookcases.

President Kathryn Simmons and Committee Chair Chemene Pelzer were joined by Jack and Jill moms Dr. Marie Desverieux-Padilla, Dr. Michelle Richards, Retha Fernandez, Linda Frederique, dad Rene Padilla and a few of the Jack and Jill kids to celebrate at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

According to its website, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 through 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty.

Councilman DuWayne Gregory, SC Legislator Jason Richberg and TOB Beautification Director Viscel Moore were on hand to thank them for their contribution.
