Nassau County police say an Ozone Park resident has been arrested for accusations of Grand Larceny and driving a stolen vehicle drunk in Seaford. The incident took place early Friday morning at around 5:15 a.m.

That morning the Seventh Precinct police responded to a call that claimed a man was opening and closing car doors on Barberry Lane and Hicksville Road. When authorities arrived they noticed a 2010 Nissan -with its windshields covered in ice- driven by a man they suspected may have been behind the neighborhood disturbance.

The driver was revealed as 32-year-old Brian Medley during a routine Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. It was during the stop that Police found Medley was allegedly driving under the influence. After a deeper investigation authorities discovered the car he was driving belonged to a 28-year-old nearby female resident of the neighborhood.

In his possession was the woman’s cell phone, and a GPS device which belonged to another resident on Barberry Lane. During Medley’s spree nobody was hurt and he was placed under arrest without further incident.

The 32-year-old Ozone Park man has been charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth Degree, and one count of Driving While Intoxicated. He was arraigned on Saturday in the First District Court in Hempstead.
