Man Arrested in Seaford for Car Theft, Driving While Intoxicated

Seaford, NY - December 27th, 2013 - The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of an Ozone Park man for Grand Larceny that occurred in Seaford on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 5:15 am.
 
According to detectives, Seventh Precinct Police responded to Blueberry Lane and Hicksville Road for a man opening car doors. Upon arrival police observed a 2010 Nissan that had its windshield covered with ice and was being driven by the defendant Brian Medley, 32, of 135-10 Rockaway Boulevard Apt 10. A Vehicle and Traffic Law stop was then conducted and it was determined that the defendant was Driving While Intoxicated. He was placed into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed that the car the defendant was driving was stolen from a 28 year old female victim’s residence on Dogwood Lane. The defendant Brian Medley also had in his possession a cell phone belonging to a victim residing on Appletree Lane and a GPS device belonging to a resident on Barberry Lane. There were no injuries reported.
 
Brian Medley is charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property Fifth Degree, and Driving While Intoxicated. He will be arraigned on Saturday, December 28, 2013 in First District Court in Hempstead.
