SCPD: Deer Park Man Arrested for Knifepoint Gas Station Robberies

Suffolk County, NY - December 24, 2018 - Suffolk County Police arrested a man on Sunday, December 23, for robbing two gas station attendants at knifepoint, since November.
 
Major Case Unit detectives arrested Victor Carlton, for robbing the Sunoco Gas Station, located at 1985 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, on November 4 and the Conoco Gas Station, located at 3089 Middle Country Road, Lake Grove, on December 14.
 
Carlton entered both gas stations, displayed a knife and demanded money from the register. In both cases he was described as walking with a noticeable limp. At the Conoco Gas Station, Carlton stabbed the victim several times because the employee did not initially comply.
 
Carlton, 50, of Deer Park, was charged with two counts of Robbery 1st Degree. He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 24.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
