Stony Brook, NY - December 13, 2016 - An impressive jazz event will take place this January at WMHO’s Educational & Cultural Center featuring singer, saxophonist and entertainer, Danny Bacher, accompanied by the compelling sounds of Trumpeter Tom Manuel and his 11-piece Jazz Loft Big Band.

Danny Bacher has an engaging stage presence, evoking the true greats in entertainment, and along with his saxophone prowess you have one of the hottest musicians on the scene today. "Danny Bacher is reminiscent of 'triple talent' icons such as Louis Armstrong and Sammy Davis, Jr…..who can hold his own improvising on soprano sax or scatting with the best musicians on the scene…he has a natural flair for comedy and a voice full of soul."- Roseanna Vitro, Grammy® Nominated Jazz Vocalist & Educator; “A prodigiously talented musical preservationist.” - Stephen Holden, The New York Times.

The shows will also feature the extraordinary sounds of the Big Band era, courtesy of Tom Manuel, President and Founder of The The Jazz Loft, the only venue of its kind on Long Island offering performances, education and the preservation of a treasure trove of memorabilia housed there.
