Written by Lon Cohen  |  23. December 2020

On Wednesday, December 16, Nassau Police responded to a call for a woman in labor in Roosevelt at about 4am. Identified in a social media post as Medic McKeown and Officers Coleman and Sheele by the Nassau Police Department, the statement said that the baby was unexpectedly born before they would reach the hospital.

“They were on their way to the hospital when the baby boy decided to make his appearance, so they pulled the ambulance over to the side of Hempstead Turnpike where they helped mom safely deliver her baby,” the post said.

Mother and baby are reportedly doing well.
