Port Jefferson, NY - December 20, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a single-car crash that killed the driver of a vehicle in Port Jefferson this afternoon.

Glen Nelson was operating a 2008 Lamborghini eastbound on East Broadway at High Street when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole at approximately 3:40 p.m.

Nelson, 48, of Belle Terre, was transported to Saint Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson where he was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
