Two Armed Men Rob Astoria Federal Savings Bank in Farmingville

Farmingville, NY - December 21st, 2013 - Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at an Astoria Federal Savings bank in Farmingville.
 
Two men both armed with what appeared to be black handguns entered the bank located at 696 Horseblock Road, at approximately 7 p.m. The first man, described as Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, bearded, with a medium build, wearing a white sweatshirt, camouflage pants and a red and white baseball hat stayed on the banks floor. The second man, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, wearing a winter vest, with a grey hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap demanded money from a teller. The teller complied with the suspect’s demand and the men fled on foot southbound on Wendy Drive.
 
Both men are approximately 20-30 years-old.  No one was injured.
