NCPD Arrest 4 in Balwin & Roosevelt During Yesterday's Project 21 Initiative

The First Precinct reports the arrest of four individuals during a “Project 21” initiative on Friday, December 20, 2013 in Baldwin and Roosevelt.

Baldwin, NY - December 21st, 2013 - The First Precinct reports the arrest of four individuals during a “Project 21” initiative on Friday, December 20, 2013 in Baldwin and Roosevelt.
 
According to Officers, an undercover operation was conducted with the assistance of the Nassau County Fire Marshall and the Town of Hempstead Building Department. During the course of the operation an under age agent attempted to purchase alcohol from 33 businesses in the confines of the First Precinct. The following individuals were arrested for selling alcohol to a minor:
  • Dalwinder S. Grewal 47, of 11 Clovelly Drive, North Valley Stream, sold alcohol to a minor while working at the Shamrock Gas Station, 17 Merrick Road, Baldwin.
  • Hasan Albayrak, 45 of 1259 Grand Street, Westbury, sold alcohol to a minor while working at Citgo Gas, 820 Sunrise Highway, Baldwin.
  • Jose R. Cruz, 24, of 380 Front Street, Hempstead, sold alcohol to a minor while working at So Good Deli, 425 Nassau Road, Roosevelt.
  • German A. Marmol Castillo, 44, of 197 Lena Avenue, Freeport, sold alcohol to a minor while working at Christinas Deli, 338 Nassau Road, Roosevelt.
All defendants are charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st degree and were released on appearance tickets. They are due in First District Court in Hempstead on January 6, 2014.
