Hempstead, NY - December 20, 2014 - The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 7:12 P.M. in Hempstead.

According to detectives, Gregory Morrell, 32, of Hempstead while travelling eastbound on Lawson Street on a motorcycle struck a vehicle which was pulling into a driveway east of Long Beach Road.  He was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 7:27 P.M. by hospital staff.  No further injuries were reported.  The car and motorcycle were impounded for brake and safety checks.  No criminality is suspected at this time.
