Pair Wanted for Robbing Pawn Shop on Sunrise Highway in Freeport

Freeport, NY - December 20th, 2013 - The First Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred in Freeport on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 10:51 am.

According to detectives, a 61 year old male and a 29 year old male were working at Freeport Cash for Gold located at 132 West Sunrise Highway when three unknown male black subjects entered the store. The subjects are further described as wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and dark sunglasses. Two of the subjects were armed with black handguns. One subject removed credit cards and an undetermined amount of U.S. currency from the pockets of the 29 year old. Both victims were then taken into a rear room and ordered to open up a safe. After the 29 year old victim opened the safe his hands were bound. All three subjects then fled the store with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and jewelry in a dark colored Nissan Maxima with a possible North Carolina plate westbound on Sunrise Highway. No injuries were reported.
