NCPD Crime Alert: Roslyn Savings Bank in West Hempstead Robbed

West Hempstead, NY - December 20th, 2013 - The Robbery Squad is investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred in West Hempstead on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 9:40 A.M.

According to detectives, an unknown male black subject entered the Roslyn Savings Bank at 50 Hempstead Turnpike and presented a robbery demand note to a teller. After obtaining an undetermined amount of U.S. currency the subject fled the bank on foot westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. There were four employees and five customers present at the time of the robbery with no injuries reported. The subject is further described as being in his 40’s, 5’10” to 6’00” tall, approximately 200 lbs., beard, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
