Suspect Wanted for Leaving the Scene After Passanger Fell Out of Moving Car on the Southern State

West Babylon, NY - December 18th, 2013 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Vehicular Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver who fled the scene after a passenger fell out of his/her moving vehicle in November.

Thomas Hendricks was observed falling out of a light-colored Ford Explorer traveling northbound on Belmont Avenue, at the exit ramp to westbound Southern State Parkway, in West Babylon on November 10 at approximately 10:10 p.m.

Hendricks frequented, and was seen on November 10 at, the Cloverdale Apartments, located at 3547 Great Neck Road, North Amityville.

Witnesses state Hendricks was picked up by someone driving a Ford Explorer on Route 110 near the Southern State Parkway, approximately 20 minutes prior to him falling out of the vehicle.

Hendricks, 20, of Farmingdale, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead on November 12.

The investigation is continuing.
