SCPD: Lyft Driver Arrested for Allegedly Sexually Abusing Passenger

Central Islip, NY - December 17, 2018 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a Lyft driver who sexually abused a passenger in Central Islip on Sunday, December 16.
 
Hussein Saleh picked up two adult female passengers in Patchogue. During the drive, in Central Islip, Saleh sexually abused the female sitting in the front seat. One of the women called 911 from the vehicle and police responded at 3 a.m.
 
Saleh, 36, Farmingville, was arrested and charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree.  He will be held overnight for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Monday, December 17.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
