Valley Stream, NY - December 17, 2015 - Major Case Bureau detectives report the arrest of a Valley Stream man on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 6:00 am in Valley Stream.

On dates including March 2015, April 2015 and May 2015, detectives received information from the “National Center for Missing and Exploited Children”, regarding a “Twitter” user uploading numerous images of child pornography.

A subsequent investigation by the Major Case Bureau, in conjunction with the Suffolk County Police Department and the FBI resulted in the arrest of Matthew Kerniss, 26, of Valley Stream.

Kerniss is charged with seven (7) counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance of a Child and four (4) counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance of a Child. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 12/18/2015.
