The First Squad reports that an arrest has been made in connection with a Residential Burglary that originally occurred on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 1:03 AM in Baldwin.
According to detectives, officers responded to a Wesley Street residence for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned that a resident of the home heard their rear door open and then saw an unknown male suspect in their kitchen. The suspect grabbed a white tote bag containing various items from a table and fled out the rear door. The suspect was last seen running westbound on Wesley Street towards Grand Avenue.
Defendant Herman L. Blunt, 61, undomiciled, has been arrested for the above incident. He is charged with Burglary 2nd degree and Criminal Trespass 3rd degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at First District Court.
The investigation is ongoing.
