Officials: Brooklyn Man Arrested After Raping Nassau Teen He Met on Snapchat

Nassau County, NY - December 15, 2017 - The Special Victims Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for Rape that occurred in Nassau County in 2017.
 
According to detectives, defendant Javier Morales, 28, engaged in a Snapchat conversation with a 14 year old juvenile victim. The defendant did arrange to meet the victim on numerous occasions and engaged in sexual intercourse. After an investigation, the defendant was placed under arrested on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Elmont.
 
Defendant Morales is being charged with Criminal Sexual Act 1st Degree and Rape 2nd Degree.  He was arraigned on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
Detectives request any victims that have had contact with the above defendant to contact the Special Victims Squad at 516-573-4022. All callers will remain anonymous.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
