Uniondale, NY - December 14, 2016 - The Uniondale High School Show Choir recently spread holiday cheer for sick children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. The nationally acclaimed Uniondale High School Show Choir sang Christmas classic carols and tunes, such as Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Winter Wonderland, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Jingle Bells.

In addition to the spirited concert, Uniondale High School has also been working with the nonprofit organization Saunders Omnipresent Network Inspiring America’s Youth (S.O.N.I.A.Y) to donate toys to the children.

The mission of The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is to give comfort and shelter to families experiencing the pain of having a sick child in local hospital facilities. A “home away from home”, the House provides the parents and siblings of these children with a temporary haven in a secure and comfortable environment among other families sharing a similar burden. This concert helped bring a smile to Ronald McDonald House residents.
